California meets the Mediterranean

A blend of old world rustic charm, whitewash and stone exterior, wood beams, shutters, the house embraces the coastline you would think you were in the Mediterranean, but this house is in California.

 The terrace, which is shielded by canopies of woven willow and canvas panels, overlooks Salt Creek Beach and the Pacific Ocean.

 Love this breakfast area,imagine feeling the sun and the sea breeze on your face 

 Functional kitchen, stone walls, wooden floors, love the light streaming through this space

 Simply decorated using natural materials, feels calm and cool

 Fancy waking up to that view every morning

 Bespoke bunk beds, great use of storage around this double bed, great use of space

The perfect weekender

Sweet little cottage in Poland used as a weekend escape is decorated with that in mind, open plan living bright natural and airy, simple furnishings which all works very well. The owners had spent a lot of time in Norway and have fallen in love with the Scandinavian style lots of natural light, soft colours and informal and simple elegance of Scandinavian homes have been also a source of inspiration for his house.

A former 18th century farmhouse has been transformed into a beautiful home in Catalonia, Spain. The transformation was carried out by architecture firm Palau de Casavells, who took care to preserve the dwellings original character with modern updates.

Gorgeous bedroom’s that inspire.

I have said it before that it is so important to get the right atmosphere in your bedroom, it is a place to relax and be comfortable, unwind and breathe, your sanctuary.

This bedroom is rather grand and exotic 

 This bedroom is so perfect, everything works with the beautiful painting, the colours, bedlinen, lamp and side tables, would not change a thing, I adore it.

 This bedroom is pure comfort and stylish, gorgeous.

Interiors │House of Salvador Dali

In 1930, Salvador Dalí, who had just met Gala, his wife, bought a small fishing hut north of Cadaques in Spain. Over the years, it is a labyrinthine house and studio, a sort of architectural manifesto of surrealism, which extends hidden among the olive trees. Dalí painted his major works there.

Inside the decor was designed by Gala which is unusual, unclassifiable and unique, full of unusual objects, the internal structure was designed by Dali himself the rooms are linked by both narrow and wide corridors, mezzanines and stairs a labyrinth, multiplying the access between the inside and outside, with the views of one another.

In the studio, on the easel, the Work that Dalí left unfinished the day he deserted Portlligat after Gala's death in 1982.

In 1982 the death of Gala Dalí left home never to return, leaving what was the theatre of his love, his creation and his happiness.

The Persistence of Memory

One of his best paintings. After entertaining guests in the evening, Dalí sat at the table looking upon the soft, half melted Camembert cheese. Suddenly the idea of melting watches came to him and he immediately got to work.
