I love the look of exposed stonework, whether it is on the walls, inside or out, stone floors or worktops. Leaving the original stonework exposed is not only a great feature, adding character but it is about remembering the past and being sympathetic to the building, and being sympathetic to a building is for me vital to any renovation project.
