Exotic bedrooms

Exotic dreaming, bedrooms that is alluring, beautiful and full or calm. 

In a villa in San José del Cabo, Mexico, the master bedroom's four-poster bed is set against tin doors that open onto the adjacent bath. The trunk is a Spanish antique, and the rug is abaca.

The Peacock bedroom in George Cooper's Sri Lankan compound features an ebony canopy bed that's draped in mosquito netting. The bedside table, the colonial desk chair, and the bench are also ebony. To the fore of the window seat are a Chinese chest and two teak tub chairs.

The master suite at Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's California home includes a custom-made bed with a draped canopy of brass ball chains, as well as lounge chairs upholstered in an Old World Weavers cotton with matching chain fringe. The repoussé drum stool is by Robert Kuo; the hand-knotted-silk area rug, designed by the home's decorator, Judith Lance, was made by Tai Ping.

Exotic home in Bali

Exotic home in Bali, this home belongs to fashion designer Birgitte Raben Olrik.

A rich and tropical Balinese interior filled with all the aspects of Asian decorating, open plan living traditional natural materials and the detail of the craftsmanship.

I visited Bali a few years ago and I just fell in love with the place, the culture and the people are so lovely, the Balinese fabrics, furniture and ornaments, such amazing detail, just lovely.  I warn you go with a half empty suitcase; you will want to buy everything!
