It’s that time of the year when Pink is a colour that
springs to mind, no pun in depended, but it is spring time when the gorgeous pink cherry
blossoms and the oversized flamboyant blossoms of the magnolia appear upon the
still quite bear trees, such a pretty sight. And in summer all the other
beautiful flowers bloom.
Since we were little girls pink has played a big part in
most of our lives, it presents our feminine side, but of course men can wear it too, a pin stripped pink
shirt looks stylish with a pair of blue jeans.
So whether you wear pink or use pink to decorate your home here are some inspiring images to enjoy, and you can see this colour works wonderfully with pretty much every other colour, blues, purples, and greens and against white is so fresh and alive. It makes us think of warm days, sunshine and playfulness, pink is a happy colour.

We all need pink in our lives, so many beautiful images I wanted to share today, but there were too many so I will continue pretty in pink another day.
Living in the French countryside, the Dordogne can be a
double edged sword. The simplicity of
the everyday living and the frustrations of the slow pace of life when you need
things to be working faster they don’t, and the French will not be rushed so no point trying, so you live here
with the knowledge that things will happen in their own time.
Come spring the place comes alive, all of a sudden the
shutters are opened, garden furniture is being put out, lawn mowers are active
again and everyone is busy in their gardens. Restaurants are preparing to
re-open after being closed for nearly 5 months; everyone is rushing around
trying to get everything ready for the spring/summer and the ciaos to come.
We live right in tourist central, the area where
pre-historic man began, come April we see nearly every type of European number
plate on the road; people come from all over to visit this amazing part of the
country the Dordogne Noir.
Nature starts to wake up and the countryside looks so
beautiful, plants are starting to bud, birds and butterflies appear and the
weather is warmer and generally everyone feels good, looking forward to summer.
Love it all, the white painted ceiling, beams and walls contrasting with the black metal framed windows, the wooden bench tops and white cupboard doors, and that floor is gorgeous, I see a few old floors like that here in France, organic and workable space, perfect.
Now this space has it all going on the wonderful exposed stone walls, and great choice of flooring to brighten up the space the eclectic furniture and great piece of art work on the wall, all works so well.
Now, who would not want to wake up in a space like this, open and bright, elegant and simple, bringing the outside in, lovely.
This I like because it is simple and sophisticated, love the mirror.
