Baskets and their many uses

One of my weaknesses is baskets in all shapes, colours and sizes can never have too many, they come in may different designs and so much work has gone into making them, they are all unique. 

I will always find a use for one whether it’s for carrying shopping, serving bread, putting a plant pot in or my herbs, hanging from the wall, for storage of anything from dog leads to hats and gloves and magazines to my fabric swatches or just for display, they can be useful in any room, just cannot resist buying more!

It's all about how you display objects to tell a story, to evoke your senses, and it can make or break a room or space, it can either look amazing and effortless or contrived, confused or messy; here are some good examples to inspire.

The Arniano Painting School offers week-long residential art courses for artists and enthusiasts of all levels and is situated in a rolling landscape dotted with green-black cypresses and hilltop villages, this elegant secluded farmhouse with panoramic views across southern Tuscany offers its guests plenty of beautiful subjects and views to inspire both painting and drawing. The house is a rare find and has been lovingly converted by interior designer Camilla Guinness, sounds perfect!
