Rustic chic country estate in Spain

Maison Toscana is a rustic country estate transformed by designer Jessica Bataille, situated in the coastal town of Jávea, in the province of Alicante, Valencia, Spain. 

The owners discovered this dream retreat nestled in the middle of a pine forest near the beach. A 19th century villa built in traditional architecture, resulting in a comfortable home with simple and chic touches. Featured throughout this property are fabulous busts of bright colours an eclectic mix of furniture and the it's unique characteristics such as the exposed stone walls, stone arches, rustic floors and a Mediterranean garden with a romantic Arabic style pool makes this property a delight on the senses.

Weekend inspiration │ Alfresco

It’s the long weekend and naturally it is predicted that it will rain, however I am feeling optimistic and plan to dine alfresco this weekend so to get me and my fabulous readers in the mood here is some inspiration.

Be creative with your outdoor space and have fun with it, let your imagination run wild, think colour and texture, go to a vide grenier (boot sales) and find some unusual pieces to paint, old rusty candle holders, makes some colourful cushions, those old pieces of furniture you have laying around in your garage could look fabulous vamped up and used outside, there are no rules, outside is where you can be more advantageous, so enjoy.
