Choosing colours for our homes can be quite daunting and sometimes you just need reassurance of your own choices. 

There is so much to consider, you need to consider light which plays an important part on how the colour will look, the size of the space you want to paint and if you are considering using or changing excising furnishings and accessories also how you live and what mood you what to create in the space all play an important part. One colour might look fabulous on your friend’s wall but would not work in the space you want, colour affects our everyday living and is a fundamental part of re-decorating.

Interiors │Bohemian eclectic style

Bohemian eclectic

 style full of colour, life and character, here are some of my latest finds to inspire. 

Formally owned by Designer Kathryn Ireland, in Ojai, California and has since been sold onto actress Reese Witherspoon a few years ago these images were taken by House Beautiful magazine when Kathryn owned it. I love this house such a warm and inviting place, full of character, charm and Kathryn’s magic touch and her own gorgeous fabrics, of which I am a big fan.

Eclectic mix.
I came across this great townhouse in Brooklyn New York full of character a fabulous eclectic mix of styles, owned by Interiors stylist Hilary Robertson who decorated the Brooklyn townhouse with vintage furniture and furnishings from flea market and antiques stores. Just love it.

Weekend inspiration │The feeling of summer

The sun has been shining for the past week, gorgeous weather and summer is almost upon us. 

The English Heritage is providing a managed open access to Stonehenge for the summer solstice on 20-21 June 2014 so would be worth going down if you are in that area if you want to find out more link

Restored farmhouse in France

Modern French style, this restored eighteenth century farmhouse situated in the village of Lourmarin.

  The house is called  ‘Bastide Galinier’ translated means ‘House of hens’ With the help of local craftsmen, owners Isabelle and Edouard Loubet brought new life to this two story Provencal property surrounded by three hectares of park.

 Fabulous open plan dining and living space with its original arched exposed stone walls, new arched windows, flagstone floors, gorgeous chandelier, painted furniture, a mixture of old and new, love this look, modern French. 

 Love this display of the antique French ‘confit pots’ on the stairs, although not practical for cats or dogs running up and down the stairs, but looks great. 

 If you had to have a bath in your bedroom then this would be it

 Love the panelled walls, exposed beans and the stone console with marble top wash basin stands

As for this bedroom, just perfect, absolutely love the original bed which was been tastefully painted.
