Last weekend my husband and spent a long weekend in my
favourite city Paris. We took the Eurostar which was so convenient 2 hours on
the train into Gare du Nord Paris then just a few stops on the metro and a
short walk to our hotel in the 6th arrondissement which was a great
find via Mrs & Mrs https://www.mrandmrssmith.com/hotel-search
La Belle
Juliette has been described as a hotel for would be left bank intellectuals,
international romantics and those in search of Parisian chic, and I would agree
the décor is elegant modern Parisian chic with some interesting details, comfortable
and inspirational. They have a great little spa where I had the best massage by
a delightful young Japanese lady, complete with body scrub and wrap, I felt
like I was floating on air afterwards. The hotel staffs were very friendly and
helpful. The hotel has a lovely Japanese style garden where we sipped cocktails
whilst listening in the background to some great alternative music before heading out to dinner to Le Grand Colbert (for those lovers
of the film ‘Something gotta give’) and if you have seen the film I agree the best
roast chicken! The décor is of a time gone by so quintessentially French; the
service was first class all in all a wonderful evening.
Picnic in Jardin des Tuileries near the Louvre was so lovely,
we bought are food from a fabulous store called Maison Georges Larnicol where
you can buy the most gorgeous food and wine.

The hotel is in a good location just 15 minute’s walk from
Saint Germaine de Pres for fabulous shopping and great restaurants, another
find was a restaurant called Le Deux Magots on Saint-Germain-des-Pres, good
food and service and great for beautiful people watching snuggled up together,
ah, lovers in Paris, such a romantic city and such a romantic weekend, there is never enough time to spend in Paris we will
be going back again very soon!
