Quintessentially English country style interiors
An ancient hostelry in the Cotswolds blends the cosy and the
stylish in perfect proportions. Smartly rustic, with its fireplaces, exposed
white washed beams and wooden panelling, wooden floors, full of character and
ambiance.
The Lion Inn started life as a coaching inn in the 15th
Century. Over the years it has gone
through many changes and played an important role in the village and
surrounding areas; providing food, drink and accommodation for both people and
horses, in a variety of guises. Having
fallen in love with the building, Annie Fox-Hamilton took over ownership of the
Lion in October 2011 and spent six months on a major renovation of the building
and grounds, determined not to lose any of the inn’s original quirky charm.
My thought for the day
