Lovingly restored homestead South Australia

A lovingly restored 19th Century stone homestead in Mylor, South Australia. 

This house is a quintessential Australian style house for its time with a tin roofed veranda, fabulous timber floors this house has been lovely restored with respect down to its calming and sophisticated colour palette to its original features like the ceilings, skirting’s windows, architraves and the original fireplace, which I love, the type of house I am used to and enjoy working on.

Love the antique table which was bought from an auction house it started its life bright green and the checked hand painted floor is lovely.  

Fireplace is the feature in this room and blends in nicely with the white walls

I like the white painted wood panelled ceiling against the grey walls and white washed floors

A day of Romance

A day of Romance not that I am in to all of the commercialism associated with Valentines day. So much pressure is put upon us to do the right thing I think we should celebrate often with the one we love, buy a gift or cook a romantic meal, share a bottle of champagne in a bath for two, whenever we feel like it we should do nice things for each other and show we care but most of us are romantic and follow the crowd so if you are celebrating on this day, I hope it is a lovely day and here are some images to get you in the mood for either wooing or being wooed.
