Coastal living

Coastal living

The coast is an infinite world, the sea and the salt air, sunshine if we are lucky enough. It engages all our senses and somehow heightens a sense of well being, a sense of calm watching and listening to the waves lapping on the shore, walking on the beach feeling the sand between your toes and the cooling water washing away all the negativity whilst the sun warms your back. I can sit for hours looking out to sea, watching my dog playing in the water, running up and down the beach, so happy.
And on the days when it is cold and windy, and you are all wrapped up the salty sea wind blows the cobwebs a way, and somehow makes you feel invigorated and focused.

To be able to be near the sea is truly wonderful, to lie in bed and listen to the sea and smell the salt air, one day I shall go back to live by the sea, until then I have my memories which I hold fondly, especially the wonderful memories of walking on the beach with my late mother.

It's the weekend

It’s the weekend and it is still raining! so I am dreaming of sunny days.

Here are some images to brighten up your day, have a good weekend

It's the weekend/lulu klein
would be nice to just step out onto your own deck take a dip in the pool and lay in the sun all day, still dreaming..

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or sit in a eat cake, very naughty but nice...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or go shopping in Paris ooh la la

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or sit and look out of a window with this amazing view and day dream...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
if it were a nice day you could pop a bottle of bubbly in your bag, find a nice spot and enjoy...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or read a book overlooking the sea, dream on...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or stroll along this gorgeous looking beach, more dreaming...

However seeing this is winter time and coming back down to earth I am able to do these this weekend.
It's the weekend/lulu klein
soak in a long hot bath, bottle of wine and candles...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or get dressed up and  meet a friend for lunch...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or just spending time with the one you love...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
or get dressed up and go out on the town...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
and what do you know it's Martini time...

It's the weekend/lulu klein
however seeing it is still raining I could certainly do this!

It's the weekend/lulu klein
Oh well you have to have dreams, happy dreaming.

Opulent apartment in Rome

RESIDENZA NAPOLEONE III Rome, Italy
This opulent boutique apartment in Rome that is the Napoleone Suite is stupendously grand, with two fine reception rooms and a master bedroom with silk-draped canopy bed. Of the six huge oil paintings you see at this signature apartment at Residenza Napoleone III, one is the bedhead, and another is the entrance to the exquisite marble bathroom.
What better way to spend your time in Rome, maybe a spot of entertaining, totally extravagant, lovely.

This bedroom is so gorgeous, do not think I would want to leave it

Shades of green for interiors

Shades of Green for interiors

Green is the colour of nature by surrounding yourself with green you create a feeling of comfort and relaxation, which gives you a feeling of calm and space. It provides energy and balance for all other colours and brings a sense of healing on many levels and can also be elegant and sophisticated.

Greens range from blue greens, mint greens, dark greens, olive, muted greens, and be used to uplift and also to evoke restfulness and harmony depending on the shade of green and how it is used because a darker muddy shade can encourage negative thoughts.
